5I use this as a masonry reference book  Jan 12, 2007 By S. Lesser
This book covers all aspects of masonry work, from new construction through repair. As a carpenter, I have previous experience with some of the basics of the topics covered, and I would feel confident following the procedures in the book to complete any of the projects listed.

As with any work of this nature, there's a reason why some people do this professionally -- there's a lot that takes experience to learn. But, if you know a few basics you'll probably be glad to have this book as a reference.

5Includes A Variety Of Materials  Jun 03, 2008 By mhs
I really like this book. It lists materials and techniques that I had not really considered before. Although it did not answer all my questions it gave me a really good preview of what is out there and what it takes to use it. I think this will be a good book to have around for years to come. I am glad I bought it.

5Don't Leave Amazon Without It!  Aug 03, 2007 By Anna Marie Fritz "Anna Marie"
For anyone interested in doing some fine masonry as an 'amateur,' and some really good reminders for the pro as well, this book belongs on the shelves of anybody in love with concrete, as I am.

5Good Book for the Average Person  Dec 08, 2009 By D. H. Jerome
This is the kind of book you find at Home Depot and Lowe's. Lots of big pictures and good instructions. If you are interested in concrete, forms of masonry and how to do it yourself, get it.
