Designed to highlight the principles and practices used in the installation of a residential electrical wiring system, as well as how to effectively put them into practice, this book provides a valuable resource for learning the basic skills required of an entry-level electrician. Beginning with the preparation and planning tasks and moving forward to cover service entrances and equipment, rough-in and trim-out, and concluding with a section on maintenance and troubleshooting, the topics progress logically to provide readers with a strong sense of the tasks involved in a residential wiring project, from start to finish. | | | |

Excellent Book Feb 06, 2005
By John M. Talbert I thought this was a great book. It explains the process from A-Z and throws in NEC code references. For those without any wiring knowledge at all, it will be very beneficial to get you up to speed. I will use this book along with Rex Cauldwells book and the Black and Decker home wiring book to wire my next home.
I also have the Residential Series Plumbing book also, which I highly recommend.

unclear description.... Sep 21, 2010
By Jim I was seeking the textbook, not a workbook/lab book. The description appeared to be a soft-cover version of the text, with included/labbook book.. I was greatly dissppointed to not have gotten what I wanted, I also, was not the only person in class to make this error!!` (how can I rate a negative star )
