Coverage begins with simple addition and subtraction of whole numbers and progresses through basic algebra and trigonometry, developing readers' awareness of electrical symbols, basic circuits, component terminology, and calculator use for success on the job. Word problems designed to encourage the use of logical deduction are just one of the hallmarks of this tried and true guidebook that provides the mathematical background students need to succeed in the electrical field. Explanations at the beginning of each unit foster a better understanding of the concepts being presented; while problems related to electricity help develop an appreciation for electrical terms and practices. | | | |

practical problems in mathematics for electricians vol.7 Oct 17, 2009
By Claudia H. Stewart Our college class text was practical problems in mathematics for electricians vol.8, but our instructor informed us that vol. 5, 6, 7 & 8 were acceptable study texts for the course. I attend Los Ageles Trade & Technical College for Solar Electric/Photovoltaic Systems, Installation & Maintenance-Econmt105,theory & technology, & Econmt205,Solar Electric/Photovoltaic Systems, Installation & Maintenance-Practices & Procedures. Also in the math class are students in the IBEW linemans program & inside Electricians program that up to 80% of graduates are preferred candidates for the LADWP and So. Cal. Edison and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. I saved over $35 getting an earlier edition.
