From the supplier: The management of roofing inventories entails a wide variety of risks for property managers. Roof damage can expose both property owners and managers to such risks as legal liability, loss of production, and loss of life and limb, in addition to repair and disposal costs. However, despite these risks, many property managers make risk decisions without basing them on hard data. Managers who make blind decisions, whether because of a lack of information or a lack of good judgment, cannot be expected to manage roof maintenance and rehabilitation effectively. To avoid roofing errors, property managers should conduct a complete audit of their roof inventory. The information generated can aid in the development of a sound, long-term preventive maintenance roof management program that can help managers better control the roofing inventory and budget.
