5A 'must' for any collection regularly catering to builders and owner-builders  Oct 13, 2008 By Midwest Book Review
Interest in green, sustainable building practices is great and the prior editions of GREEN BUILDING PRODUCTS have helped builders choose among the latest offerings, so any library strong in homeowner construction or builder guides needs the revised edition, which provides descriptions and manufacturer contact details for over 1,600 environmentally preferable products and materials. A 'must' for any collection regularly catering to builders and owner-builders.

5Green Building Products 3rd Edition  Feb 06, 2009 By Muriel Lawty "Green Home Specialist"
This book is organized like a catalogue with a discussion at the beginning of each section about the product types reviewed and then brief descriptions of each product including contact information for each manufacturer. I bought it as a text for "Green Building Materials" offered at North Seattle Community College - great class, great program.

5Green Building Products 3rd Edition  Oct 04, 2010 By John P. Notarangelo
Great book .... lot's of products to consider when re-habbing or building a new home. Very easily organized together to compare materials etc...

5Green Building Products  Nov 05, 2011 By Darose
Excellent resource guide for green building materials and products, especially for certified companies. However, I recommend researching / considering other local material and product sources for your project that may not be listed in this "Green Spec Guide". Not all companies that carry sustainable materials and products meet the full set of requirements needed to be ceritified. So in the full spirit of sustainability, you may be able to find sources more local to your project that will not need to be transported as far, therefore contributing to a reduction in the overall carbon footprint of your project. This detail and others are very important for sustainable considerations.
