Great book for Making Mission Style Furniture Oct 22, 2009
By C. Vuxton
"ENTP"
One of the hardest things about building Mission Style Furniture is getting the finish right. If you are only making one piece there isn't much trouble but if you're trying to match the colors of existing pieces you are headed down a rough road. Not only is this book well laid out with great projects it covers a lot of basics, including the finishing of pieces. In fact it gives multiple techniques from fuming oak to using gels. This book is not only worth the cost for the projects (the Greene and Greene Serving Table is unique) but more than worth it for the background building techniques.

Excellent Book! Dec 19, 2010
By G. Hancq I highly recommend this book for woodworkers interested in Crafstman style furniture building. The project plans are very detailed and they also provide a nice selection of projects to build your skills.

Building Craftsman Furniture Nov 01, 2010
By David J. Srebalus
"Grandpa Dave"
This book has an interesting collection of 17 projects sure to be of interest to the woodworker. The photos and illustrations are first rate with a materials list for each project. I have many woodworking books that I never plan to use for an actual project, but this is an exception. I am so favorable about this book that I plan to purchase other volumes in "The Best of Woodworker's Journal Series." I trust the publisher to always produce a quality product.
I live in a home built in 1915. It has rooms very similar to those pictured in this book. Now all I need to do is make some furniture to match those rooms.
Nice book Jan 30, 2012
By Michael J. Walters I'm not one to leave 5 stars but this book for the more advanced hacker like me is worth the money nicely put together crystal clear drawings (not sure the accuracy of the dimensions) but is a nice book for mission projects.
