Construction Management Fundamentals is intended as an introduction to both technical and business sides of construction, and is intended for use in an undergraduate Civil Engineering curriculum or for graduate courses in Construction Management. The text covers fundamentals of construction in a logical, simple, and concise format, and many examples reinforce construction and management concepts through applications, photographs, and illustrations derived from actual projects. Based upon professional practice, standard formats for analyzing common problems are presented and explained preparing students for fast-paced bid preparation.

The second edition of Construction Management Fundamentals includes coverage of the Construction Specifications Institute’s new MasterFormat 2004 edition, as well as a completely rewritten safety chapter incorporating the latest OSHA required safety practices and reporting practices. The book will help prepare the student who may take one or two courses in construction or the construction management professional.

5Excellent source reference  May 27, 2008 By Sidney J. Hymes
This book is an excellent text for teaching construction management fundamentals. I have used it in both undergraduate and graduate courses and my students have valued its purchase (if not the price of the purchase).

It is a good overview publication, reasonably easy to read with a balance between technical and explanatory discussions. The book presents the material logically and the information flows well from one topic to the next.

4Great Guide  Oct 05, 2011 By FSCF
Great Guide if you are working on the field. Very detailed! Used for school, but that's a keeper! Not planing on re-selling because I will always need some information contained on this book!

5Great for my class  Apr 12, 2010 By Highwaymom "Amazon advocate"
I didn't realize I had not left a review for this product. It was a very useful tool when I took my class 5 years ago. Great details and it was altogether a great class and book.

1Wrong Item  Sep 14, 2010 By Katlyn Smethurst
I paid for overnight shipping on this item as I needed it immediately and they sent me a different textbook with the same title (different ISBN). Because of this, I had to purchase another one of these and once again pay for overnight shipping. I am extremely upset with the carelessness of this seller in shipping the wrong book. I will not be ordering from this company again.
