4Good Ideas and Lots of Photos of Baths  Jun 24, 2006 By Sonya "readaholic"
Baths is a good book with lots of ideas and tips on planning and creating a bathroom. It helps you focus on creating a bathroom that either fits a need and is functional and efficient. There are also examples to provide ideas that fit a particular style. It also includes several projects you can do in your bath.

There are little call out sections that give info about various components of rooms. For example, page 15 talks about towel warmers and gives info on costs, types and things to consider. You can find tips on space planning, lighting tips, and counter and storage solutions. All in all, a very good resource book for changing or remodeling a current bathroom or creating one from the beginning.

2Better for people with HUGE bathrooms and a large budget  Feb 13, 2009 By L'lee
I decided to check this out since I enjoyed "HGTV Kitchens" and found loads of practical ideas and floorplan ideas for kitchen renovation in that book.

There were a few ideas in "HGTV Baths" that might be helpful, especially in terms of materials, accessories, and color combinations. However, I found it to be very impractical for someone trying to renovate a typically sized bath. Most of the examples that they gave were of bathrooms that are as large as or larger than many bedrooms. If you are renovating a bathroom like this or want to transform a medium sized bedroom into a bathroom, this may be a great book for you. While some people may have the space to have a whirlpool tub and a walk-in shower along with walk-in his and hers closets, I found this to be quite indulgent and impractical. Now, I can understand having a couple of examples like this, but almost all of the examples given were WAY over the top, in my opinion. I had to laugh when I saw an example called "Refreshingly Simple" on page 150 that I thought was pretty, but anything but simple.

I enjoy the HGTV show "Save My Bath" and was hoping for something like that out of this book, but I did not find it.
